When you visit our office, not only will you receive the same exceptional treatment and service we always offer, but you will have the chance to take advantage of our advanced orthodontic technologies. We are pleased to offer SureSmile® and Invisalign®. What could be better?
SureSmile® is the most sophisticated technology available to traditional orthodontic treatment. The advanced digital technology is what separates the SureSmile® System from conventional orthodontics. By utilizing customized arch wires, SureSmile® can deliver:
- Shorter Treatment Times
- Fewer Office Visits
- Less Overall Discomfort
How is this possible? With SureSmile® orthodontics, our assistants use a handheld oral scanner to capture 3-D images that allow Dr. Montano to build a precise 3-D computer model of your teeth. Treatment planning occurs on the computer where Dr. Montano maps out your entire treatment and designs ideal positions for your teeth. With this information, Dr. Montano determines the most efficient way to move your teeth to create the desired result. Your wires are then bent utilizing a robotic mechanism that creates the perfect movement to create your winning smile.
Invisalign® is a nearly invisible orthodontic technology that allows you to straighten your teeth. In using advanced 3-D computer technology, Dr. Montano can design treatment which uses a series of clear aligners to help gradually straighten your teeth. The advantage of utilizing the Invisalign® system does not stop at its nearly invisible
properties:
- Aligners are removable, thus allowing you to eat, brush, and floss normally.
- You become actively involved in your own treatment by changing your aligners.
- Computer simulated treatment will show your progress from aligner to aligner.
How is this possible? Molds of your teeth are sent to Align Technology and transferred into 3-D computer images. Dr. Montano maps out your treatment from start to finish. Based on Dr. Montano's prescription, a series of custom-made aligners are produced. Each aligner is worn for approximately two weeks, before being replaced by the next aligner. Movement is gradual from aligner to aligner, making treatment more comfortable. In addition to all this, your treatment is mapped out step-by-step on the computer, allowing you to view your predicted tooth movement from start to finish.
